- Rationale: Relationship building should be at the core of your teaching. Having strong relationships with every one of your students enables them to each have a successful experience within a safe learning environment.
- Strategy: To make sure I talk to each one of my students every class with my daily greeting and attendance question. To learn something new about at least one student every class. To regularly check in with students.
- Evidence of Success: If students feel comfortable coming to me with any concerns, questions, or issues they may have with me and/or my teaching. That we are all able to have a positive experience in class within a safe learning environment.
Goal #2: Reflect on my growth every class.
- Rationale: As a teacher we should always be aiming to grow everyday in and outside of the classroom. We should be learning and researching ever lesson we teach along with our students.
- Strategy: Reflect after each lesson about not only what did or did not work but also what I have learned teaching each lesson.
- Evidence of Success: Review reflections and growth on a regular basis and at end of internship.
Goal #3: Improve question asking skills.
- Rationale: Ongoing questioning is very important to assess student's learning and consolidate the learning for students.
- Strategy: Review Blooms Taxonomy and implement in lessons. Don’t be afraid to ask the same question a variety of ways to help guide students in the direction you want them to go.
- Evidence of Success: Reflect during and after lessons on what types of questions worked best.
Goal #4: Monitor students behaviour and is aware of student behaviour at all times.
- Rationale: It is important to always be the one in control of your classroom so that you can create a positive learning environment that everyone can find success in.
- Strategy: Try incorporating the many Classroom Management techniques I have learnt in past classes and practicum. Also think about Classroom Management in Bumps like discussed in Curriculum and Instruction readings and “Teacher as Performer” workshop.

- Evidence of Success: The end of my internship I was able to successfully diffuse any issues with students efficiently without major problems. Reflect on the way issues were handled after they happen and how I could improve.
